![]() ![]() Maybe there's already a confirmed meaning behind Spike's word. I only wanted to get this out there before I forget to post again. Now I'd been drinking when I came up with this theory and I'm drinking now. Now I don't need to go into how Bruce Lee has influenced Bebop in other ways but I can't help but think that this is one more to add to the list. But he'll only say bang when the gunshot is the exclamation mark for everything that'd led to that point. He'll fire his gun, shoot things and people. Spike only says bang when he settles a conflict with a bullet. Now I obviously couldn't not draw the parallel between his usage of the word bang and Spike's but it got me thinking about how Spike used it and I realized the one consistency. When Lee suggests the notion of using a gun to kill Han, he says So I was playing what I remembered of the film through in my head and one line stood out to me. I watched it a ton and at one time or another, I could recite basically the whole movie. It was one of dad's favorite films in his youth so when I got old enough to appreciate some good action he let me watch it too. So I was watching Cowboy Bebop for the hundredth time and it got me thinking about my favorite old martial arts film, Enter the Dragon.
